Anita Clark’s Motte project is focused on looping violin and more recently her voice too. Synthy embellishments floats freely, with her occasional pizzicato as direct as the rhythms get.
If you prefer instrumental ambience, you could check out the wholly instrumental Songs for Movies (2015) or the prosaically titled Hobart Improvisations (2016).
If you’re partial to vocals, Motte’s latest, Strange Dreams (2017), runs from songs with lyrics, wordless songs, to instrumentals.
